New Brunswick
Government of New Brunswick — Disaster Assistance
If you’ve been affected by property damage related to Hurricane Fiona, you might be eligible for Disaster Financial Assistance. Click here to learn more about this program, and how to apply.
The provincial government is also providing free bacterial testing of water from private wells that were directly affected by Hurricane Fiona. Click here for more information.

Western Health has a team on the ground to support residents of the southwest coast. To access this support please call 1-833-920-0096. The response line is available daily from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Eastern Health Mental Health and Addictions Navigator: 1-877-999-7589
The mental health and addictions navigator can help you to find the right mental health and addictions service for you and your family. Call the navigator toll-free at 1-877-999-7589. Available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

CHANNAL Warm Line: 1-855-753-2560
The Consumers’ Health Awareness Network Newfoundland and Labrador (CHANNAL) is an organization that offers a non-crisis, toll-free phone line backed by trained Peer Supporters. This phone line is available between 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. NDT every day.

Government of Nova Scotia – Financial Support

Provincial Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Line: 1-888-429-8167
The Provincial Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Line provides crisis intervention for Nova Scotian children, youth, and adults experiencing a mental health crisis or mental distress. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 1-888-429-8167.

If you are in Nova Scotia and need help with a mental health or addiction concern, our intake team is here to help.
Real people Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Tuesdays until 8 p.m.). Voicemail evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nova Scotia Peer Support Phone Service: 1-800-307-1686
The Peer Support Phone Service is a toll-free, non-crisis, province-wide service, available to all Nova Scotians 18 years of age or older. It is staffed by trained Peer Supporters, who have personal or family-based lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges. The service is available Wednesday to Friday 5 – 11 p.m. AT, and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. AT.
Prince Edward Island
Provincial Disaster Financial Assistance Program (PDFAP)
Island fishers and aquaculturists who have experienced damage due to Hurricane Fiona can access immediate financial supports and request clean-up assistance through the Provincial Disaster Financial Assistance Program (PDFAP).
The PDFAP can reimburse fishery and aquaculture operators with revenues of $2 million or less and who employ no more than the equivalent of 20 full-time employees for the following losses that are not covered by their insurance providers. This can include:
Repairing damage to and loss of gear as well as to fishing and harvesting equipment;
Replacing and repairing outbuildings such as bait sheds;
Replacing or repairing business equipment and inventory;
Clean-up costs of debris, hazardous materials, and waste disposal; and,
Incremental labour costs for clean-up and inventory transportation to alternate storage facilities.

Farmer Assistance Program of PEI: 1-800-736-8006
Need help? Call the PEI Farmer Assistance Program at 1-800-736-8006. When you call the PEI Farmer Assistance Program (FAP), you will talk with one of the program's two professional counselors, Frank Bulger or Jan Henry. At this time, you can share a bit about what is bothering you. From there, you will establish a date and time to meet face-to-face for a free counselling session.

Resources on Wellness Together Canada
Learn & Practice
In the Wellness Together Canada resource library, you can find articles and self-guided tools to help support your well-being, such as this one on coping with current events. At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a list of more resources that might be helpful right now.
Talk
Partners of Wellness Together Canada offer counseling support for youth and adults. You don’t have to be going through a specific problem to call these lines. Whatever is on your mind, the counsellors are there to support you. This service is completely free and has low wait times.
Connect
You do not have to go through this alone. Connect with a Peer Supporter who has lived experience with mental health or substance use, or join a support group.
Track
Consider taking a 5-minute assessment to measure your current state of wellness. If you create an account, you can use the tool to monitor and track your progress over time. Your wellness results will be displayed in both a graph form and point scores with explanations to help you understand what your answers reflect. We can send you email reminders when your next check-in is due to help keep you on track.
